"We have had excellent years. with, an average 180 sightings
of minke whales per year, the odd school of dolphins and many
other species including seals, lots of birdlife; gannets,
puffins and shearwaters. We now have 8 years track record
to prove it, which no other local operator can compare to.
To be honest we never know what we will see, or what will
'Pop Up' but we can always be sure of the stunning scenery
the South end of Skye has to offer."

Info about Sea.fari trips
Sea.fari Adventures (Skye) will begin scheduled trips again from
Easter 2008. The 2 hours trips leaving (to start with 12 - 2) but
in the high season from Armadale Pier at 10am - 1 pm (3 hour) 1.30pm
- 3.30pm (and a 1 hour trip by demand 4.00-5.00). There are max
12 seats available per Boat. If you're in a group, why not charter
the whole boat for a unique memory? 3 hour trips will start after
our 1st comfirmed whale sighting.(prob around April/May)
We only require 4 people to sail, so why not get your name down
first?
New for 2008 is a dedicated day trip
aboard our sheltered boat 'Odyssey' - with a choice of 2 trips -
In season this will be a whalespotting day - Taking in the island
of Eigg for lunch, then to the North side of Muck, heading back
to Armadale through the sound of Rhum - the nature is stunning,
and the scenery amazing - there is no other boat operator in these
waters - or - our 'Lochs' tour
- taking in Loch Nevis, stopping at the most remote pub in Britain
(The Old Forge) for lunch, then into Loch Hourn, across to Sandaig
(Gavin Maxwell's 'Camusfearna') on to Isle Ornsay Lighthouse, then
back to Armadale. This will run from 10 - 4.30 ish.
This trip has no hidden landings, and be assured you will spend
the day afloat. The boat has loads of outside room, and inside is
heated, and even has a full flushing toilet.(Very Important as we
supply hot and cold drinks)
We supply all water/wind proofs(aboard the open boats)and automatic
lifejackets. Everyone is seated and we stop often, so you can have
a 'leg stretch'. Trips vary, according to what we have been seeing
on previous days. A typical trip would be: leave Armadale, head
South down the Sound of Sleat, past the most southern tip of Skye,
towards the Small Isles (Rhum, Eigg etc) then back up the coast
to Armadale. No two are the same.
The 3 hour trip involves covering a greater distance, and if time
allows stopping off on the Isle of Eigg for coffee, although for
the last 2 years, in season there has been so much to see on the
water we have struggled to land - a camera is a must!
